If you get scammed and lose money or personal information, follow these steps to protect yourself from more harm and help stop others from getting scammed.
Contact your bank immediately
If your bank account or credit card has been compromised, the bank can take immediate actions to prevent further monetary loss.
File a police report
Report the incident in person at the nearest Neighbourhood Police Station. For immediate help, call 999.
Inform contacts and secure accounts
If your online account (such as email or social media) is hacked, quickly notify your contacts and report the issue to the respective service provider or platform. If you can still access your account, change your password right away. Also, consider enabling two-factor or multi-factor authentication if you haven't already.
